The Logo Story

Our Guiding Principle

The logo of the Institute for Interdisciplinary Research draws its inspiration from the Fibonacci spiral, a universal pattern found in nature, art, architecture, and mathematics. Rooted in the Fibonacci sequence (0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13...), where each number is the sum of the two preceding ones, the spiral embodies the infinite potential of creation. The spiral is also envisioned as a shankh (conch shell) — an ancient symbol that resonates across cultures representing cosmic sound and energy, new beginnings, and the awakening of higher knowledge. This dual symbolism positions IIR as a beacon of innovation, inclusion, and impact. The colorful hues symbolize the beginnings of light, the awakening of consciousness, and an expansive journey toward infinite potential.
